How Funds Benefit our Community

Though the world is unpredictable, one thing remains certain – the Y is, and always will be, dedicated to serving ALL, regardless of ability to pay.  It’s our mission and we take it seriously.

In 2011, the Y awarded over $2.2 million in financial assistance to over 9,500 deserving kids, adults and families who needed our help. For some, assistance was needed for preschool education.  For others, a campscholarship was needed for summer care, and for many others, subsidized membership was needed in order to lead a more active and healthy life.

100% of every charitable gift to the Y (annual campaign, special events, endowment, grant) is awarded to local kids and families.  The generosity of more than 4,000 annual donors help support the Y’s Financial Assistance Fund and stays local to your neighbors in need.
