Consider us your extended family
The Haverhill YMCA is committed to nurturing the potential of every child as they begin their journey to become life long learners. Our program provides a supportive environment to meet each child’s developmental needs in a setting that encourages active learning. Children receive guidance and support from a warm, caring staff. Through open-ended activities children learn and play as they build essential early language, social and motor skills.

Your Child's Y Experience
Y Preschool programs provide a safe, wholesome environment in which children can learn to communicate, cooperate and care about each other. Preschoolers use their curiosity and imagination to become creative thinkers. As active learners, they work on increasing the mastery of peer interaction and cooperative play. A positive self-image is developed as children begin to become proficient in the areas of cognitive and physical development. Learning centers, rich with materials, enhance the curriculum themes encouraging children to use their innate sense of exploration as they further investigate their interests.
