Health & Wellness

Our Wellness Center is a perfect way to start you on your journey to good physical health.  If it's a group exercise class you want, join in on one of our fitness classes such as Resist-A-Ball or Pi-Yo, which not only builds cardio & muscle strength but also core muscle strength to stabilize your whole body!

Let us not forget our Boot Camp that has over 50 recruits who rise up at 5:45 AM, 3 days a week to be inspired to run, jump, squat or do whatever else their instructors decide for them that day!

If you prefer a quieter way to energize your spirit, then try a meditation or yoga class.  Health in mind, body and spirit are waiting for you at the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA.  Here are just some of the ongoing Health & Wellness Programs we offer:

Youth & Teen Fitness Floor Policies Summer Hours

Members ages 8-10
Monday - Sunday        10:00am to 5:00pm

Members 8-10 years old will be permitted to use Fitness Floor under the following conditions.
- They must be under direct supervision of Parent/Guardian (within an arm’s reach).
- Both parent and youth must complete the WellStart Cardio Program together.
- Signature of Fitness Floor Policies - parent and youth agreeing to follow rules of facility and training guidelines.
- Youth members will only be permitted to use the Cardiovascular Equipment.


Members ages 11-13
Monday - Friday         10:00am to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Saturday - Sunday     10:00am to 5:00pm

Members 11-13 years old will be permitted to use Fitness Floor under the following conditions.
- They must be under direct supervision of Parent/Guardian (on the Fitness Floor).
- They must complete the 4-session WellStart Fitness Program or Youth Strength Training Course.
- Signature of Fitness Floor Policies - parent and youth agreeing to follow rules of facility and training guidelines.

Members 14-15 years old
Monday - Friday        5:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday                    6:00am to 7:00pm
Sunday                       7:00am to 6:00pm

Members 14-15 years old will be permitted to use Fitness Floor under the following conditions.
- They must complete the 4-session WellStart Fitness Program.
- Signature of Fitness Floor Polices agreeing to follow rules of facility and training guidelines.*

Members ages 16+
Welcome into the Fitness Center at all times and adhere to the YMCA’s policies.

Health and Wellness Center privileges are extended to youth contingent upon following established guidelines,
and may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the Health and Wellness Director.
