About the Series
For many years, the YMCA has provided outstanding road races throughout the North Shore. In 2006, the North Shore YMCA joined forces with New England Running Company to create the Race Series – 12 highly organized, professionally timed races located throughout the North Shore. Our races are not only exciting opportunities for beginners through advanced runners, they also provide a memorable experience for the entire family. Many series races also run special “Kids' Fun Runs” and offer a variety of food, fun and games for all.

The Road Race Series supports Y for All, our financial assistance program. Last year, our YMCAs had an impact on more than 6,500 deserving children, adults and families throughout the North Shore. We provided over $2 million in essential Y programs and services so that all people, regardless of ability to pay, could benefit from the YMCA. In these hard times, we know the need will rise. Thank you for your support of our community through your participation in our races.


NEW FOR 2012: 4 ways to participate in the Series:

• “12 in ‘12” Complete all 12 road races to receive a Racer Gift Bag up to $500 in value.
• Complete 6 Races Receive a jacket with the 2012 logo.
• “Holiday Hat Trick” (HHT) Complete 3 of the 5 holiday races and get a hat with the 2012 logo. 
• “Cape Ann Challenge” (CAC) Finish 4 of 4 Cape Ann races to get a hero’s cape with the 2012 logo.

All gifts will be given out at the 2012 party.

How to Volunteer
All of our road races work because hundreds of volunteers give their time and energy to make them so successful. If you are interested in helping out at one or more road races, please contact Kim Lations, Volunteer Coordinator at 978-922-0990.
