Infant Program
YMCA Infant programs provide a nurturing, wholesome environment where your child will begin to discover the world. Our low child to staff ratios allow your child to receive loving care and attention. Staff create individualized schedules, to meet each child’s needs. Parents receive daily communication from teachers. The Infant room is divided into two age-appropriate sections and is a “shoe-free” environment.

Your Infant’s Day
You and your child will be welcomed into the Infant classroom by warm and nurturing teachers. Your child will spend the day learning about himself and his world. He will be able to explore a variety of areas in the room designed to build cognitive and motor skills as well as receptive language (understanding words) and expressive language (using words to communicate.) He will be rocked in the arms of a caring teacher. He may take a trip outside in the stroller to get some fresh air and discover the world around him. At the end of the day, teachers will give you a full report about his day and answer any questions you may have.
