Kindergarten Enrichment
Whether your child attends a public or private school, making the move to kindergarten is a big transition. The Kindergarten Enrichment program helps them take the first step towards elementary school, while providing a safe place to be after school. The YMCA provides after school care with pick-up from Beverly Public elementary schools. Kindergarten Enrichment is available only at the Sterling YMCA Children’s Enrichment Center.

Your Kindergartener’s Day
After your child spends the morning in her kindergarten class, a YMCA van will pick her up and bring her to the Sterling Y Children’s Enrichment Center. Depending on the day, she may take a swimming lesson, practice tumbling in our gymnastics center or play a game in the gym. Your child will eat lunch and then work with teachers to complete any homework assigned. Children are encouraged to work in learning centers to explore, cooperate and discover. The Kindergarten Enrichment teacher coordinates the curriculum with the learning goals set by the state and adhered to in the Beverly Public Schools kindergarten curriculum framework.
