Program Times
Group Visits are offered year round on Thursdays and Fridays. Times are available to meet your needs. Please contact Mary Sholds at (978) 741-1811 and we will answer any questions and reserve your time.
Cost
The cost for a Group Visit is $4 per child. One chaperone per five children is admitted free; additional chaperones pay the $4 rate. No deposit is required in advance of a scheduled visit.
Preview Visit
We invite educators who wish to schedule a Group Visit to preview our exhibits free of charge.
Eating Arrangements
Food and beverages are permitted in the museum. Groups are welcome to bring brown bag lunches to eat in our snack area or outdoors in our playground. Picnicking is also allowed in nearby Salem Common. Several area restaurants offer children's menus and/or group discounts. Menus and information are available at the front desk. Please let us know your preference prior to arrival.
Accessibility
The museum is equipped with n Elevator. The museum also has accessible bathrooms, parking and a designated bus drop-off zone for visitors with disabilities. If you have any questions about accessibility, please give us a call at (978)-741-1811.
Registration & Cancellation
To schedule a Group Visit, call the museum at (978)-741-1811. If you need to cancel your visit, please do so at least two weeks in advance. We will make every effort to reschedule Group Visits that are cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
Sleepover at the Museum
Overnights at The North Shore Children's Museum are the perfect indoor camping trip for scout troops, schools and other recreational groups. Overnights are offered on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the year. The minimum number for an overnight guests are 10 people, from one or more groups. The cost is $25 per person and includes Pizza, juice and a snack in the eventing. Coffee for the adults in the morning. Overnight guests arrive at 6:00pm and depart at 8:00am the next morning. Shower facilities are not available.
