A Report On Critical Community Needs
The North Shore United Way conducted a study in November of 2005 that highlights the critical and emerging needs of the North Shore communities that it serves. The following critical needs emerged from their study:
- Accessibility to Affordable Health Care & Health Insurance
- Affordable Housing
- Quality, Affordable Child Care
- Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention Programs
- Elder Services
- Counseling for Teen Depression
- Job Training for Eligible Working Adults
- Emergency Weekend Mental Health Services
