The YMCA of the North Shore develops and operates affordable housing in three (3) of the North Shore YMCAs that serve over 147 individuals and families throughout the North Shore.  Take a closer look at YMCA Affordable Housing:

Greater Beverly YMCA 
Today the Greater Beverly YMCA operates two (2) housing initiatives, each meeting a different and essential need for the City of Beverly.  Forty-five adults call the Cabot Street YMCA home in our 45 single room occupancy YMCA facility.   For some, the Y residence program is a permanent home and for others it's a necessary stop along the way to a self-supported living situation.

The Greater Beverly YMCA also meets the housing needs of five (5) families through our Rantoul Street affordable family housing development. This new five (5) apartment complex at 271-275 Rantoul Street meets an important need for affordable family housing in Beverly. Our Y helps families remain strong and viable by reducing the burden of high-rent family housing.  The Greater Beverly YMCA is proud to meet the increasing need for affordable family housing that is making an impact in the Beverly community.

Cape Ann YMCA
The Cape Ann YMCA operates 22 single room occupancy housing apartments at 65-67 Middle Street.  In addition to providing clean, well-maintained efficiencies, residents enjoy the downtown proximity to stores and services as well as the public transportation.  The Cape Ann YMCA housing development is an important contribution to the Gloucester community.

Haverhill YMCA
The Haverhill YMCA operates 52 single room occupancy housing apartments for men and women at 81 Winter Street intwo (2) newly renovated stories of the Haverhill YMCA.  In addition, the YMCA operates Wadleigh House at 170 Main Street which serves 22 men in single room occupancy units.  Both affordable housing developments give residents a warm and inviting place to live that are affordable for Haverhill residents.
