CELEBRATE THE JOYS OF EXPLORATION
AND DISCOVERY THOUGH SCIENCE PLAY!
JOIN THE SALEM YMCA & WGBH FOR OUR SUMMER SCIENCE SERIES
Children ages 3-5 and their parents and caregivers are invited to join us at THE NORTH SHORE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM To learn about science though hands on science play.
Tuesday July 10th - Exploring Shadows: Learn about light and shadows through a brief live action video, light activities and projects such as shoebox puppets and shadow puppets.
Tuesday July 24th – Exploring structures Using blocks and recycled materials we will build structures, such as towers, bridges and houses and experiment with how well they stand up to wind, quakes and missing pieces.
Tuesday August 7th – Exploring Ramps – Find out what makes some objects slide, others roll and still others that do not move at all. We will experiment with height and length of our ramp and size and shape of our objects.
Each class starts with a brief live action video to help the children grasp the concept taught in the class
