Children's Island Day Camp
Campers entering grades 2-6

For over 53 summers, Children's Island has provided campers from the North Shore and all around the world with a unique, character building summer camp experience!  Located on a picturesque 25-acre island one mile off the coast of Marblehead and Salem, the Island's facilities include a large pool, five buildings with bathrooms and ample space for camp gatherings, tents for overnights, a shaded picnic area, archery range, beaches for kayaking and snorkeling, and playing fields for sports and games.

This camp offers a unique variety of experiences including Arts and Crafts where children create memories of summer with projects that often include and are inspired by the elements of the Island and Rangers, where campers learn about camping skills, knot-tying and learn about the Native American History.

Other adventures the Island has to offer are:

Sailing:
Aboard our 14 foot American Daysailers, all campers have a hands on experience learing to sail under the supervision and direction of our experienced sailing staff.
*Sailing elective is offered on Tuesdays and Thursday for those wishing to have addtional Sailing time.   This option requires an addtional fee.

Swim Lessons:
All Campers attend progressive swim lessons taught by YMCA certified swimming instructors in our pool.  
*Swim Lesson elective is offered Monday and Thursday afternoons for those who want to improve their skills.
This option requires an addtional fee.

Kayaking:  Under the direction of our certified lifegurads, campers learn the skills of kayaking while more experienced kayakers can explore the ocean around the Island.

Archery:  Campers learn the basics of archery and how to safely shoot a bow and arrow.  Staff will help children develop the patience and focus necessary to hit a bulls-eye!

Transportation:  Transportation is provided by the Hannah Glover from the Marblehead State Street Landing.

(extended day: requires fee of $30 per session)
