Member Benefits

The YMCA wants physical fitness and healthy living to be a part of everyone's lifestyle.  Our state-of-the-art fitness center includes:

  • A variety of rdiovascular equipment in our newly re-done fitness center to help you strengthen your heart, lose weight and feel great
  • An expanded free weight area and Nautilus circuit for strength training and muscle conditioning
    A core exercise and stretching area
  • A new Functional Training studio
  • An express Cardio Zone so you can get in and get out quickly, letting you fit your workouts into your busy schedule
  • Individual TVs to make your workouts more enjoyable

Start Right Training

This orientation program is designed to start you on your path to achieving your health and fitness goals! We will do this through a series of four educational sessions. These 30 minute sessions will have you working one-on-one with a qualified fitness professional to help familiarize you with the fitness center equipment as well as set you up with a basic exercise program. Whether your goal is to lose weight, build mass, or just gain overall health benefits, this program will help you set sail in the right direction based on your current ability, experience, and availability! Included FREE with any Adult/Family membership. Sign up at the Cape Ann YMCA Front Desk.

Group Exercise Classes (for Beginners to Advanced participants)

Membership at the YMCA comes with lots of privileges. YMCA Members have access to over 50 FREE group exercise classes each week! Our programs run on the same schedule each week, letting Members organize their schedule to make fitness a priority.

Trying a class out for the first time? New to working out? We've got lots of classes specifically for beginners and any program can be adjusted to your fitness level. Personal Training

Are you recovering from an injury? Need a little extra help to stay motivated? Want to add some variety and excitement to your workout routine? Reasonable rates make personal training affordable and training sessions are scheduled to fit into your busy schedule!

You can purchase packages of 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 sessions, scheduled with the Personal Trainer of your choice. For more information click here to visit our personal training page and learn more!

Physical Therapy Screenings

If you experience pain or suffer an injury while participating in your sport or activity, it is important to consult a physical therapist. A
prompt evaluation may save you from a more serious injury. We will be offering free physical therapy screenings presented by Spaulding Outpatient Center, Cape Ann. Licensed Physical Therapists will be available to examine problems such as tendonitis, sprains, strains, aches and pains. Sessions are by appointment or on a first come, first serve basis. Please visit the welcome center or ask a fitness instructor regarding upcoming screenings.
