        Makes an Impact on Local Family....

Leah Phillips is a single mother of two who is thankful for the YMCA's financial assistance program.  Leah explains that our YMCA family membership has provided great benefits to her family.  "I am a single mom of a 10-year old girl and a 9-year old boy.  The challenges of raising two children as an 'only' parent are immense.  The YMCA made it possible for us to be a part of a community that provides physical outlets, educational opportunities, summer childcare and, most importantly, a link to other children and parents."

Leah said she and her children view the YMCA as "the social epicenter for many families with common values and needs."  She and her children visit the YMCA 3-4 times per week and enjoy the social aspects as much as the physical benefits.  Leah's son loves joining other boys on the basketball court and has met "some wonderful male role models" as well.

The generosity of the Marblehead/Swampscott community is a tremendous gift to families like Leah's.  financial support allows us to make our services available to all, as well as help us stay committed to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

CAMP GIVE KIDS A SAFE PLACE TO SPEND 
                 THEIR SUMMER DAYS!

As Spring approaches, the Marblehead/Swampsoctt YMCA staff are busily preparing for Summer and the hundreds of children who will attend Summer Camp with us this year.  Children enjoy sailing, arts & crafts, swimming, kayaking, archery and field trips through a variety of camps offered at the YMCA.  In 2007, our YMCA distributed $26,000.00 in financial assistance so that deserving children could appreciate the joys of a summer camp experience. 

Kids have big dreams! 

They dream of a brighter future ..... they dream about accomplishing something good.  Your belief in our YMCA and in these kids can help hundreds of dreams come true.
