Children's Island Alumni Association
About Us
Since 1955, Children’s Island Day Camp has been a summer haven for campers to make friends, learn valuable life lessons and create memories every day. Those who have been campers or staff have a deep connection to the Island. The Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA, formally known as the Marblehead/Swampscott YMCA, has created an alumni association to build those connections to the camp we all hold so dear.
Your participation will help give children, who could not otherwise afford to attend, the chance to have a life changing experience at camp. It will also allow us to complete preservation and construction projects that will keep the Island well maintained for many more years of fun camp experiences.
You'll reconnect with other alumni from the past 53 summers at on and off-island events. The Island flourishes by preserving the traditions of camp, but we need the help of alumni and friends to continue these traditions.
Please join us. Add your name to our alumni database.
We are also looking for:
-Special stories about your time at camp and how it made a difference in your life.
-Old photos in jpeg form.
-Your occupation or skill set that may help with island maintenance and preservation.
