Greater Beverly Programs Toddler Programs Toddlers
YMCA Toddler programs provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children can learn to communicate, cooperate and care about each other. Our low staff-to-child ratios ensure your child will receive individualized loving care and attention. Toddlers have scheduled and open activity time so they may learn from a group and discover independently, all under the supervision of our knowledgeable teachers.

Your Toddler’s Day
Toddlers learn through weekly themes that integrate each aspect of the curriculum. In the morning, children are encouraged to make choices and play at our learning centers. Whether she chooses the sand table, block area or dramatic play, your child will learn cooperation, problem solving skills, sharing skills, and learn about the world around them. After a nutritious snack, children will gather to listen to a story and sing songs. Later they may attend gym class or bounce around in our gymnastics center. After lunch and a nap, children may work on an art project or enjoy playing outside. When you pick her up, teachers will tell you about her day, what projects she worked on, what skills she practiced, and share a written daily report.
