Camp Takoma
Camp Takoma - Summer 2012
Come experience a summer of awesome camp acitivities including Sports, Swimming, Arts and Crafts, Low Ropes, GAGA and Archery. Walk through our wooded trails, visit our outdoor Arcade and participate in weekly themed activities and timeless camp traditions! Camp Takoma is a place to meet new friends, reunite with old pals and build a summer of memories! Activities are led by caring, highly trained staff that provide a safe nurturing environment based on the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Counselors in Training Camp (Entering Grades 7&8)
The C.I.T program offers young teens an opportunity to develop valuable counselor skills in a specialized program. Participants learn and apply the stages of emotional, mental, and phyiscal development in young children. They are divided into two learning sessions. The first session is with seasoned camp counselors that guide them in working hand in hand with children. The second session is with specialists that foucs on a specific field of childcare; sports, arts & crafts, archery, and drama. C.I.T's discover how to guide children through a series of activities, give directions and problem solve.
