The Kid's Room is a safe place to play for children ages 3 months through 7 years at the Ipswich Family YMCA.  It is FREE to all persons who hold a YMCA of the North Shore Family Membership and only $4/hour for all others.  The design of Kid's Room is for temporary care of children so we ask that a two hour maximum be respected.

Experienced, caring staff are certified in CPR and First Aid and have had background checks prior to beginning work at the YMCA.  New age appropriate activities are introduced every half hour to children in the room.  Examples are art, music, block play, drama, sports in the gym, etc.

Parent Responsibilities
1)  Be in the Ipswich YMCA building while child(ren) are in the Kids Room.
2) Sign your child(ren) in and out of Kid's Room.  Children are not allowed to leave the program without a parent signing them out.  Children will only be released to parent dropping off or a person designated by that parent.
3) Fill out an informational sheet about your child including emergency information prior to first child drop off.
4) If your child is not toilet trained, please be aware that a Kids Room staff will bring your child to you inthe event that he/she needs to be changed.
5) Inform staff of any allergies, we can not guarantee that the Kids Room is completely peanut or allergy free.

Program Information
1) Children are encouraged to eat before/after participating in Kids Room to limit exposure to food allergens.  Parents may provide a snack and drink in a labeled spill proof container if necessary.  Candy, gum, soda, peanuts and popcorn are prohibited from the room.
2) Personal items such as toys, books and games should be left at home or on the hallway.
3) Please dress children appropriately for the weather as Kids Room staff do bring children outside weather permitting.
