THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF OUR Y COMMUNITY
Our Y community is strong and vibrant and we are grateful for your continued support and participation in the Y! We know the impact the pandemic has had on our mental and physical wellbeing and we remain committed to continuing to provide opportunities and services that support you while providing a safe environment to stay healthy and build immunity. As a community service organization, we stand with our community leaders on decisions made regarding mask and vaccination mandates.
All mask mandates have been lifted in our communities. With our service areas currently rated as low transmission rate, we support following the CDC recommendation to “Wear a mask based on your personal preference, informed by your personal level of risk”. We encourage anyone who would like to continue to wear a mask to do so.
Our Y will continue to follow these best practices and make changes in alignment with our state and local boards of health and educational partners. To help keep our transmission rates low, our YMCA continues to encourage eligible individuals and their children who are not vaccinated or boosted to do so and to please consider wearing a mask when working directly with vulnerable populations.
We thank you for being kind to each other and respectful of each other's personal choices.
RECIPROCITY: Please note, we are excited to offer the use of our facilities to members of our neighboring Ys through reciprocity, however, in order to ensure we are able accommodate our YMCA of the North Shore members, all classes and programs that require advance sign up or have limited equipment/spaces availability (i.e. pickleball, cycle and aqua exercise), as well as our outdoor pool centers and splash parks, are limited to YMCA of the North Shore members only. Thank you for your cooperation!
OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
Our work as good neighbors, maintaining distance from one another have helped us get back to where we are today. We will keep our stringent cleaning practices and facility sanitization plans in place including:
- Investments in air quality and movement through hospital-grade systems
- Widely available cleaning wipes and hand sanitizing stations
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing by our staff teams
- Recommending that members and participants keep 6 feet of distance, for now
- Equipment will remain spread out as you have become accustomed to
- Physical barriers will remain in some areas
- We will continue adhering to facility capacity guidelines
