The Beverly YMCA's Gymnastics program challenges youth to work towards new levels of achievement. Kids gain self-confidence when they realize their potential. They have a chance to express themselves in this unique sport that combines creativity and physicality. Our progressive lessons help kids fine-tune their talents and love of the sport. With enthusiastic instructors leading the way, students are excited and motivated to learn new skills each week.  

Ages: 0-6
Connect with other parents while your child explores the beginning stages of gymnastics. The class will begin and end with parachute songs with a focus on unstructured play. Class length is 45 minutes.

Ages: 1-2
This class is specifically designed to help your child develop coordination, balance and peer socialization skills through social interaction, music, games, parachute play and obstacle courses. Each month will have a theme with content geared toward specific pre-school development. Children will learn spatial awareness, multi-step directions, gross motor skills, body awareness and so much more! Parents are expected to participate in the class and help their child follow the teacher’s instructions.

TINY GymStars
Age: 3
Run, jump, skip and hop! If your child is ready to follow a teacher’s instructions and independently participate in class then they are ready to be a Tiny GymStar! Children will learn how to follow multi-step directions from their teacher and stay engaged with their classmates. This class will focus on gross motor skills through interactive games and activities. Each month will have a theme with content geared toward specific preschool development.

Ages: 4-6
The purpose of LITTLE GymStars is to cultivate skill development, strength and flexibility. We have structured our program in a way that allows your child to progress without the inconvenience of having to re-register for a different class every two months. On the first day of class your child will be placed in an age & skill appropriate group. Once your child can properly execute the skills within their current level they will automatically be challenged with the next progression. We understand that all children learn at different rates. Therefore, our goal is to create an environment that allows children to develop at their own pace while maintaining the same class day & time.

The Wildcats Gymnastics Team strives to provide quality instruction, individual attention, a safe environment, and program growth. This is achieved by providing innovative coaching techniques, supportive parental involvement, and integration of the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We strive to reflect sportsmanship in our daily activities. Each child is given the opportunity to develop physically, emotionally, mentally, and socially through fun, safe and productive activities. Eva joined our Y team in 2010. She holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine and is currently working on her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from UMass Boston.
