At the Y, we are more than a gym. Work up a sweat, connect with a friend, relax your mind, strengthen your body, or start on a path to a healthier you! We are committed to supporting your fitness goals through every stage of life, regardless of age or physical ability. We offer group fitness classes for those who enjoy the encouragement of instructors and classmates as well as one on one instruction for those preferring a more personal setting. As a member you can check out our functional fitness space at our YMCA in Marblehead or visit our Mind Body Studio at the Salem YMCA. There are so many options to choose from.

Group Fitness Classes
Whether you are a beginner or more advanced there is a group fitness class that is right for you. Access hundreds of FREE group exercise classes each week like yoga, Zumba®, cycling, muscle conditioning, barre, yoga and more!
Specialty Fitness Programs
The Y offers a wide variety of programs to enhance your fitness routine. Try TRX, Couch to 5k, Strength and Conditioning or Boot Camp. Join other moms-to-be in a prenatal fitness class or bring baby along in one of our postnatal programs.
We also offer Aikido at our Sterling YMCA in Beverly, a Japanese art of self-defense that develops self confidence, character and physical fitness in the samurai tradition. A recognized club of the US Aikido Federation with guaranteed workouts with a black belt at every class in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.
