Infants:  6 Weeks – 15 Months:

Enjoy a wholesome environment where your child will begin to discover the world around them. With low child-staff ratios, the staff creates individualized schedules to meet each child’s needs and parents receive daily communication from teachers.

Toddlers: 15 Months – 2.9 Years:

With guidance throughout the day as they navigate social situations, children investigate cause and effect relationships and build on essential early language and motor skills. Daily routines give children the opportunity to develop a sense of security, confidence, and willingness to engage in the environment and with their peers.

Preschool 2.9 Years – 5 Years:

Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children can learn to communicate, cooperate and care about each other. Our low child-staff ratios give your preschooler one-on-one interaction with teachers. When your child takes part in our preschool program, they will have a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Staff Qualifications:

Our teachers are dedicated to developing your child’s learning potential and are sensitive to your child’s individual needs. All teachers have received a background clearance and completed the 12 hours of EEC Essentials through the state. Our staff receive CPR/First Aid training and continue their professional development through trainings and continuing education each year.

Scholarship & Membership

We remain committed to giving every child and family who needs childcare access to our Y programs through financial assistance. In addition, each program participant receives a free YMCA youth membership as well as a discounted family membership. PLUS! Sibling Discounts. We offer a sibling discount! Your family will receive 10% off your oldest child’s tuition.

Family Communication

Our Early Learning Center uses the Kaymbu app to ensure consistent communications with families. Here we share pictures, your child’s discoveries, daily sheets, as well as developmental updates throughout the school year.

Parent Involvement

Our ELC is available to families through our Open Door Policy. We seek input regarding the needs of your child, feedback, innovative suggestions or observations. The YMCA also provides surveys for families to express how they feel about the program. We offer family teacher conferences and have fun family events throughout the year.

Nature-based Curriculum

The YMCA believes all children should be provided with a nurturing, active, and challenging environment that encourages curiosity, hands-on learning activities, problem-solving skills, language development and a positive self-image. The curriculum is nature-based and aligned with the COR Advantage standards and MA Frameworks.

YMCA Mission

Our Y welcomes all. We strengthen communities, educate and nurture children and promote healthy living in spirit, mind, and body.
