The Greater Beverly Y's new interactive, multi-player gaming competition
Esports is an organized multi-player online video game competition combining digital and physical activity giving tweens and teens the ability to improve their physical and mental health while providing social connectivity to their peers in a safe Y environment. Esports focuses on the development of values through a progressive program while stressing skill development, fun, physical activity, and friendly competition.
There are 3 Age Divisions: Elementary through High School
Each division practices and plays once a week for 90 minutes, with 30 minutes of physical fitness built into the practice time! The physical fitness portion will change weekly from games in the gym to cardio and strength activities on the fitness floor.
The Esports program includes multi-platform gaming including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Top teams will compete in Regional and National Championships!
