PASS is a short-term early intervention program designed for students facing suspension or in need of behavioral health support. Many participants are navigating challenges such as substance use disorder, depression, anxiety, or trauma. Currently serving multiple districts and schools, PASS offers a supportive, therapeutic environment where students can continue their academic work while receiving mental health services. The program also helps reduce suspension time, promoting a smoother and more successful reintegration into school.
The YMCA of the North Shore offers the PASS Program through our Greater Beverly and Haverhill YMCAs. Greater Beverly’s PASS Program is a collaborative initiative between the YMCA of the North Shore, North Shore Education Consortium, Justice Resource Institute/Children’s Friend and Family Services, and Essex County Outreach.
