Summer 2017 BOLD/GOLD Adventures
Students in their junior year will be selected from several high schools on the North Shore of Massachusetts to participate in weeklong adventure based leadership trainings. Each group of boys and girls will be made up of a mixture of students from various high schools, not to include more than two students from the same school on the same trip. There will be a reunion of all trip members with a slideshow at the end of August/beginning of September to remind students of their responsibility to bring their new leadership skills back to their respective high schools and get them pumped for the school year. In February of 2018 students will be invited for a weekend adventure reunion with their trip mates to discuss how their year of leadership has gone after 6 months.

Each student applicant should fill out a first choice week and a second choice week and include availability for the other weeks. Each applicant can check off whether they would like to be considered for a 50% or full scholarship and fill out the appropriate paperwork to accompany their application. The application period will open in January 2017 and close at the end of March. Applications should include a trip deposit to be refunded if the applicant is not selected for a trip in the 2017 season. Trip costs are all inclusive and will include the end of the summer reunion and February weekend adventure costs.

Located in downtown Gloucester, the Teen Center offers students a place to hang out and have fun after school and on the weekends. The center features multiple computers, TVs, video game systems, and couches for lounging.It's also home to the Cape Ann Y Teen Leaders Club, which meets every Thursday evening during the school year from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Opened in the spring of 2007 as a collaboration between the Town of Rockport and the YMCA, the Youth & Teen Center is located at Evans Field. Staff and teens have forged strong, healthy, enduring relationships while working together for the future of Rockport youth. The Youth & Teen Center gives teens a place to belong and a chance to have a good time while making healthy decisions. The Teen Center is open to all youth from 6th through 12th grade.

The Myles McPherson Youth Center is drop-in center for boys and girls ages 11-18. Our center offers youth and teens a safe and fun place to hang out shoot some pool, use the computer lab, play video games, get in a game of air hockey, and participate in programs, leagues and more! Teen Leaders Club:The Y is helping shape the future of our community through the next generation- our teens. The McPherson Teen Leaders Club meets twice a month during the school year and completes a community service event or fundraiser each month. Boys and girls in grades 6-12 work hard and make a true impact in the City of Beverly through their dedication to service.

Hang Time Saturday Nights (Grades 6-10) 6:00-9:00pm Teen Only Nights. Open after hours just for teens on Saturday nights. Play some sports in the gym, swim in the pool and use the diving board, listen to music, chat with friends or hang out in the Teen Zone with some video games. Special event the second week of each month! Hang Time is FREE for YMCA Members, $6 for GuestsFit CrewFree transportation to the Ipswich YMCA from the Ipswich Middle School. This FREE program is available Monday through Thursday during the school year. Students do not need to be members of the YMCA to attend, just return the attached Release of Liability form.
