CAMP HARBOR QUEST at Pioneer Village
Grades K-7
Our traditional outdoor day camp is nestled in the heart of Salem’s Forest River Park. Campers take full advantage of the park and playground, pool and waterfront, and sports fields. Being an outdoor camp property we use commercial-grade canopies to provide shelter from weather, rain, and the hot summer sun. Our camp provides running water to keep campers hydrated. We believe it is important for families to know that our camp property uses porta potties to meet camper’s bathroom needs.

PRIVATEERS Ages 5-6
Privateers is designed especially for rising Kindergarteners, the Privateers program introduces campers to a fun and supportive camp routine while nurturing independence and essential social-emotional skills. Throughout the week, campers will explore a variety of engaging activities including archery, low ropes, beachfront play, arts & crafts, and team sports. They’ll also participate in group games that promote cooperation and confidence, as well as weekly swim lessons designed to build comfort and safety in the water. With caring staff and age-appropriate challenges, Privateers learn how to follow a structured daily schedule, make new friends, and build the foundational skills they’ll carry into their school years and beyond.
Independence is an important part of our outdoor program experience. To participate, children must be independently toileting and able to change their own clothes. Our staff will offer verbal guidance and encouragement, but children should be comfortable managing these routines on their own. This helps support confidence and independence while ensuring we can safely supervise all children in the group.
BUCCANEERS Ages 7-10
Bucs are bold and adventurous campers who are ready to dive deeper into the full camp experience! With a focus on cooperation, leadership, and age-appropriate challenges, Buccaneers thrive in an environment that promotes active exploration, creative expression, and lasting friendships, all while following a structured and engaging daily schedule. Buccaneers will rotate through a wide variety of classic camp activities including archery, low ropes, kayaking, ocean swimming, arts & crafts, team sports, and group games. Each week campers will take a trip to Forest River Pool for free swim.
Crusaders, Ages 11-13 (LIT)
Our Crusaders program is designed for older campers ready to take the next step in their camp journey by developing leadership, responsibility, and mentorship skills. Structured as a Leader-in-Training (LIT) experience, Crusaders participate in hands-on leadership opportunities while still enjoying the fun and camaraderie of camp.
